release date

"Ever Call Ready" has an original release date in 1985, and its releases has a single CD released in 2021.  That release's catalog number matches its cover art, but the cover art's copyright was 2006.  So which year is the release?

P.S. the editor was mostly right in noting that "The self-titled, sole album by Ever Call Ready is sometimes variously attributed in discographies to the musicians on the record," except this wasn't their sole album.  (Why does a release year matter?  Because if it's a new release, then it'd mean the resurrection of the label and the editor's return to Allmusic.)

Amazon also has a release date of September 3, 2021 for this album.

My guess is that it originally came out in 1985, was reissued in 2006, and is being reissued again in 2021.
Unfortunately the releases tab information is not always as fully complete as we'd like it to be.

Maybe there is a new reissue of the album available next month. It is possible they decided to honor an old label by maintaining that label's name.
